Applied Kinesiology

Triad of Health
A lack of health indicates an imbalance amongst one or more component of the Triad of Health.

Applied Kinesiology borrows from many different disciplines, using muscle testing as a guide for diagnosis and treatment.

The ancient Chinese observed that every muscle in the body links to a specific organ, gland or acupuncture meridian. Testing the strength of its related muscle reveals the condition of the organ or tissue. Muscle testing helps us find structural, chemical and mental problems in your body. It can also direct us to the best treatment options to restore health.

Finding the Problem

First, we review the history of your complaint. This is followed by a thorough physical examination. Instrumentation and laboratory tests may be needed. Then we analyse your posture, the way you walk, turn and bend. By combining these findings with muscle testing, we develop a unique insight into the underlying cause(s) of your problem.

Resolving the Problem
AK Testing
We find muscles that test weak, find out why and make recommendations to help restore its proper function so health can return.

With an understanding of your problem, we select from a variety of healing modalities, which may include:

  • Chiropractic adjustments
  • Joint mobilization
  • Acupuncture meridian therapy
  • Nutrition supplementation
  • Osteopathic cranial techniques
  • Muscle rehabilitation

As the discipline of Applied Kinesiology has been refined, it has broadened to include the evaluation of vascular, lymphatic systems and cerebrospinal fluid circulation.

"Our experienced Chiropractor Carlo Rinaudo has reached a certified level in AK, and with regular seminar attendances, is perfectly suited to assess and assist you with functional and wholistic care."

Andrew Asks some important questions of interest to Sydney residents - Chiropractor Sydney Andrew Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
