Your First Visit to Our Sydney Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

We find that the best results in the shortest time possible are achieved when there is communication and cooperation. To enable this to happen, allow us to explain how our practice works.

At the Inner West Spinal & Sports Injury Centre we pride ourselves on comprehensive assessment and accurate diagnosis before any treatment takes place. This is what the first visit is all about.

The first step is to get all your paperwork done. This usually takes about 10min so it is important to arrive early for your first appointment. Following that one of our chiropractors will discuss your case and perform a series of orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic tests. This allows us to determine the nature and cause of your problem and whether we can be of any help.

In most cases Chiropractic spinal x-rays will be required. The good news is that these are performed in our clinic on the latest state of the art digital x-ray system. Furthermore this is bulk billed and therefore will attract no additional cost. The x-rays (along with the examination) will ensure accurate diagnosis with safe and precise treatment. Generally, no corrective spinal adjustments are given until your second visit, allowing us time to review your findings and set up an appropriate plan of action.

Andrew Asks some important questions of interest to Sydney residents - Chiropractor Sydney Andrew Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
